At Smeaton Healthcare, recognising the incredible work of our team is one of the most important things we do.

Our staff go above and beyond every single day to support the people we care for, and their dedication deserves to be celebrated.

This time, we’re doing something a little different. Over the past few months, we’ve been so busy growing, improving services, and supporting our communities that our Employee of the Month announcements haven’t made it onto the blog, until now.

So today, we’re proud to bring you a special combined edition, celebrating four outstanding members of our team who have each earned the title of Employee of the Month over the last four months.

Employee of the Month - Plymouth Branch

Vivian - Team Leader (July 2025)

Esther - Homecare Assistant (August 2025)

Esther builds excellent relationships with her customers, always taking the time to understand their needs and make them feel valued.

She is dedicated to providing dependable, around-the-clock care. Her personality, sense of humour, and ability to share a laugh and a joke create a comfortable, uplifting atmosphere wherever she goes.

Yemisi - Homecare Assistant (September 2025)

Yemisi has consistently demonstrated an extraordinary level of dedication, professionalism, and enthusiasm in everything she does.

Her strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude make her stand out, and she approaches every task with care and determination.

Yemisi is not only committed to producing high-quality work but also contributes to a supportive and uplifting environment for those around her. Employee of the Month was well deserved.

Chelsea - Homecare Assistant (October 2025)

Chelsea always has a smile on her face, bringing positivity wherever she goes with her glass half full attitude.

The customers truly enjoy having her around, and her friendly presence makes a real difference to their day. Her efficiency shines through in everything she does, and she consistently makes the effort to understand regulations and put them into practice.

Chelsea delivers a high standard of care and shows real dedication to doing her job well, making her a valued and trusted member of the team.

Every day they bring kindness, patience, and genuine dedication into the homes of those we support, often going above and beyond without ever asking for recognition.
Taking time to reflect on the work they do is essential. Reflection helps us recognise their strengths, celebrate their compassion, and continually improve the care we offer. It reminds us that every small act, a warm conversation, a reassuring presence, or a helping hand, can have a huge impact on someone’s day.
